Simple Yet Elegant

This is one of the many thank you cards I had to make for my son graduation. I found this paper packet at Hobby Lobby and I just knew I had to something with it. I pulled out three different sheet of paper and just went to work. This was actually made from the scrap that I had left over from the card in the previous post. So I hope you like just as much as I do. So until next time....

Happy Birthday

I tried to show the rock candy I used on the fleur de lis but it was a hard to photograph.

I used some pleated ribbon and touch of bling which I love.

It is someone real special to me birthday coming up real soon and I wanted to make them an extra special card. (It is a surprise so... shh) I use a few of my favorite techniques and pulled out all the stop for this. I have to say, it may be on top of my favorite list for right now. This is my 2nd attempt at the trifold shutter card and I think I really getting the hang of it. I love trying different techniques. So leave me a comment and let me know what you think. So until next time...

Creole Queen

Here is a layout, I did after a trip to New Orleans. My cousin was in town from Las Vegas and since it was her birthday weekend, we planned a dinner cruise party. We had a blast. I must admit that the food was okay but the jazz and dancing made up for it. It was a great time of fellowship with family and friends. So until next time...

So here is my first easel card. I hope you enjoy. It is a little on the simple side (for me) but. I think it was pretty good to be my first. So until next time....

"Bitter Sweet"

My son graduated on this past monday. Yeah!!! It is great that his has complete the this phase of his life but it sad for me as mother to see my first born actually grow up. Where did the time go? It seem like it pasted by so fast. I am happy yet a bit afraid of what comes next for him. As a parent you always want your children to have the best and be the best. And sometimes they might not do everything or always take the advice that you give them but as I go on this week, I realized that I have to "Let Go and Let GOD". I know that we have raised him up to be a great young man and rooted him in Word of Lord and with that I am going to stand on the Word of GOD and trust and believe that "All will be Well" in Jesus Name.

So Until Next Time ....

Simple Joys

This was the 1st Circut Imagine layout I done. I was trying to get familiar with the machine and it functions. So this is one of the projects I came out with. There are so many things that I love about the Circut Imagine. But I think it is necessary to keep your other circuit machines too. It just makes my life so much easier to have the ability to use one for one thing and the other for something else. But enough of that. I am so excited to announce that I am participating in my first blog hop this saturday May 21-22. I had so many mixed feeling about this (happy but scared at the same time). So I have been busy as a bee working a few things for this up coming blog hop.

So as of today this is the line up for next the blog hop:

Here's the list of blogs & the order

So until next time...

Cream In My Coffee

Happy Mother's Day Everyone,
I hope everyone had a wonderful day of being pampered and loved on by their children and spouses. I know I did. My day, well I guess I should say weekend started friday night with my usual date with hubby and ended tonight with an extra special dinner with my family. I spent this weekend remembering my mother and grandmothers who have went own to be the Lord. I also buried an Aunt on saturday too. So this weekend was and emotional yet wonderful time. I got the opportunity to spend time with my family members (some whom I have not seen in a long time). But it really was sad but great at the same time.  Well I made this card a few week ago and since I have been kind of busy this week, I haven't had time to get into may craft room to make something new. So I found something I haven't posted yet. So I hope you enjoy. So Until next time...

Happy Mother's Day

I made this card for one of my husband's employee whose mother is ill. Since it was close to mother's  day I thought it would be fitting to wish her a happy mother's day while she feeling a bit under the weather. I told you that I am all about the lace right now. Mother's Day is a great holiday and for me it a little hard. I lost my mother 7 years ago to colon cancer and I miss her like crazy. But I know that she is no longer suffering here but in heaven with my heavenly father.  I know she is watching over me each and everyday. I don't think any one can ever get over the lost of a mother, especially on that was phenomenal like my mother. She was truly my best friend. And alway there when I need her. But enough of this. Just remember to let your mother know how much she mean to you while you have the chance. Embrace each and every moment. So until next time...
